Q: Who can take classes at The Movement Factory?
A: All classes at The Movement Factory are for adults ages 18+ over.
Q: Where is the movement factory located? ?
A: We are located inside the Historic Lake Erie Screw Building, across from Madison Park, and just minutes from the communities of Rocky River, Westlake, and other Cleveland suburbs.
Our main studio at 13000 Athens Avenue #203, is inside a working factory, on the 2nd floor. To access the 2nd floor studio, please enter the main glass doors on Athens, go up the stairs to the 2nd floor, and turn left. On weekends and evenings enter through the entrance of the side parking lot that says "loading dock," go to the 2nd floor, turn left out of the stairwell, left again walking toward The Wrestling Factory, through the red door, and then around the corner to the left - you will find us there.
Our Pilates studio at 13001 Athens Avenue #205 is on the 2nd floor of the building at the very back of the industrial park by the security guard booth off of the Bramley entrance (the back of the factory). If entering off Athens, drive all the way back past the industrial buildings. Turn left at the guard booth, and then take another immediate left. If entering from Bramley, pass the stop sign and turn left into the parking lot. There is a smaller, separate parking lot where you can park, and then you enter and walk up the stairs or take the elevator to the 2nd floor. After you get upstairs, walk around the hallway and you will see our Pilates studio on the right hand side.
Q: Where do I park?
A: For the main studio #203, park in the side parking lot next to the building. Parking in the Madison Park lot across the street is also available when the West Driveway lot is full or the gate is not open.
For the Pilates studio #205, there is a smaller, separate parking lot. If that lot is full, there is parking around the area by the yellow railings.
Q: What should I wear to classes?
A: We ask all clients wear clean fitness, yoga, or dance attire to classes. For group fitness classes, we ask that you please change into your clean indoor fitness shoes before class. For dance classes, please wear appropriate footwear such as ballet shoes (ballet), clean sneakers (hip hop), ballroom shoes/flats that will not scuff the floor (swing dance,) or barefeet (modern). The Pilates studio in #205 has a sock policy - we require sticky/grippy socks for all clients, which are available for purchase.
Q: How do I cancel a class or private session?
A: Cancellations to any RSVP need to be made 12 hours in advance by emailing RSVP@themovementfactory.com. Cancellations less than 12 hours prior to the class or no-shows will be charged a fee. 12 hour cancellation is required for Pilates privates and duet sessions, as well as personal training and private dance instruction sessions. If you no show or cancel less than 12 hours in advance you will be charged in full for your session.
Q: What is the cancellation fee policy?
A: EFFECTIVE JULY 1st 2014:
All RSVP Pilates classes: 12 hour no show/cancellation fee is drop in cost of class booked.
All other RSVP classes: $10 no show/cancellation fee applies.
Private sessions/Personal training: Fee of session
Q: What if there are not enough people to run a class?
A: A minimum of 3 clients per class is required for all classes to run. If the class is cancelled before 12 hours you will be notified via email. If the class is cancelled within the 12 hour window you will be notified via email and placed in another class or given a coupon for future purchases at The Movement Factory.
Q: How do I sign up for a class?
A: All classes are on a drop-in basis except for those classes listed as "RSVP." RSVP on our scheduler under "RSVP NOW" under the class you wish to attend. You will enter your email address and then receive a confirmation email with info regarding your reservation.
Q: Can I rent the studio?
A: Our main studio #203 is available for rehearsal rental by professional dance companies and choreographers at an hourly rate. Please contact the studio for more information. Based on availability.
Q: What if I am going on vacation and need to hold my unlimited package or extend my card?
A: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1st 2015: 1 hold allowed on each package - 7 day minimum, 14 day maximum. Additional holds $25. No exceptions.
Q: I would like to hold my bachelorette party at The Movement Factory. Is this possible?
A: Yes! We offer a variety of class options and prices for a private party. Please contact the studio for more information email@example.com
Q: My business would like to have a class from an instructor from The Movement Factory. Is this possible?
A: Yes! Corporate training/on site opportunities available to bring a qualified instructor from The Movement Factory to your event or location. Price by request. Please contact the studio for more information firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: How do I pay for my classes?
A: We accept Cash, Personal Checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express®, and Discover in person at the studio or over the phone. We do not accept online payments at this time.
Q: Do I need to pay before making my RSVP?
A: Yes! Please arrange payment before making your RSVP. Payment in full for all packages, classes, and sessions is required at time of instruction. Due to popular demand, all RSVP classes require a prepayment to reserve a spot. Please do not sign up for classes that are outside of your current package or class card. If you would like to sign up in advance and reserve a spot ahead of time, please pay for those months or classes in advance.
Q: Can I have a family member use my package or class card?
A: No. Packages and class cards are non transferrable between clients.
Q: Can I sign up for more than 3 months at at time?
A: There are no long term contracts required or offered. We only offer 1 month unlimited packages and 3 month class cards.
Q: When does my Intro Package expire?
A: The intro package is valid for 7 days. Example: If you purchase your package starting with the 7pm ZUMBA® Fitness class on Wednesday, you have until 7pm on the following Wednesday to use your package.
Q: When does my 30 day Unlimited Package expire?
A: The 30 day Unlimited Pass expires on the 31st day after the package starts. Classes on the 31st day are not covered and a new payment is required to take future classes.
Q: Can i get a refund?
A: Purchases at The Movement Factory are non-refundable.
Q: WHEN DO MY PURCHASES EXPIRE?
A: 30 day Unlimited packages expire 30 days after start date. 10 class cards expire 90 days after start date. All cards, packages and private sessions expire 6 months after date of purchase. For any Groupon or Amazon Local deals please refer to their websites for more information on policies and contracts.
Q: do you offer student discounts or other discounts?
A: We offer -$3 off for students with a Valid ID, or for those who work in the building.
